Sunday afternoon the community of Varsity and Varsity Estates enjoyed an invitation to one of the most glorious OPEN HOUSE events I have attended.

About 200 people, generally 70 plus, put on their parkas and boots and ventured to the Groves of Varsity situated adjacent to the round-a-bout on 53rd St. and Varsity Estates Drive N.W.

The comments from guests who were in awe at the many amenities made available for the latest in Senior Lifestyle Living were nothing but positive.

• A beautiful movie theatre was playing Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

$ " $ $! youthful seniors and their guests enjoying a coffee and tea with healthy snackfoods.

• The Medallion Dining Room was set with white table cloths for 170 guests who enjoy three marvelous meals each day.

• The Lounge is about card games, crossword puzzles, the Olympics on television, billiards with new friends, and even a beer or wine while you are relaxing before dinner.

• The Memory Care Wing was Facilitati­ng:

Seniors are coached on the 7 PILLARS for Avoiding Memory Loss with Aging. By using the advantages of music, and creative-art classes to stimulate thoughts and discoverin­g other parts of our brain for communicat­ing; a new understand­ing of Dementia is unfolding in Calgary.

The Manor Village at Fish Creek Park will be opening June 2018, for Canada’s ! &

Families will soon have the opportunit­ies of understand­ing the anatomical, physiologi­cal and psychologi­cal aspects of human aging.

Young people will be taught to be knowledgea­ble so they are skilled at proactivel­y working with Seniors to slow the advancemen­t of Memory Loss with Aging.

Care providers will be provided a Day-Centre for their loved one, enabling relief in the day-to-day requiremen­ts of being on call 24/7.

Adding Life to Years is what 200 people experience­d this weekend at The Groves of Varsity’s, Manor Village Life Centre.

Addressing the educationa­l aspect of aging will have a tremendous impact on ! ! ! !ed memory loss and its future prevention.
