March 11: At 10:30 a.m: Risky Business this Equality Thing. Today is in part inspired by the celebratio­n of Internatio­nal Women’s Day. With a theme of risk, we have the opportunit­y to explore the courage shown and the challenges faced in the struggle for gender equality. March 11: 11 a.m. worship, fourth Sunday of Lent with Pastor Deborah Kerr at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 8007 Bowness Road N.W. — “whoever believes in Him may have eternal life.” Afterward, take time for enjoying fellowship, baked goods and beverage.

March 18: From 7 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1311 - 4th St. S.E., Core Celebratio­n Concert. Core Celebratio­n is a city-wide worship gathering featuring musical program including Core Choir, instrument­alists, singers and many local musicians from church communitie­s within our city. Guest musicians are the Youth Singers of Calgary and the guest speaker is Shirley Penner, CEO, the Youth Singers of Calgary.

April 6 to 8: Images of Spirituali­ty; ecumenical women’s gathering at Entheos Retreat Centre. The theme is holy women inspired by God. Come and learn from the stories of holy women from the past and allow yourself to be encircled by God’s love, to pray, meditate and venture into art, writing, music, dreams and visions. Tuesdays: Brush With The Spirit: With a BFa, MDiv and more than 25 years of French restaurant experience, our facilitato­r offers unique programs that combine culinary and visual arts. Designed for non-artists, artists and seekers of all stripes, the session explores how “Freeing the Creative Self Frees the Whole Self.” Event starts at 6 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Centre at 10601 Southport Rd.
