From 7 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1311 — 4th St. S.E., Core Celebration Concert. Core Celebration is a citywide worship gathering featuring musical program including Core Choir, instrumentalists, singers and many local musicians from church communities within our city. Guest musicians are the Youth Singers of Calgary and the guest speaker is Shirley Penner, CEO, the Youth Singers of Calgary.
March 18: 10:30 a.m.; Calgary Unitarians; 1703 — 1 Street N.W. Is it risk or vulnerability? Trying something different; being truly authentic; bringing our whole selves to community; and, taking a chance on relationship. Risk and vulnerability seems like dance partners of sorts. March 18: 11 a.m. worship, Fifth Sunday of Lent with Pastor Deborah Kerr at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 8007 Bowness Road N.W. Focus: the hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Afterwards, take time to enjoy fellowship, baked goods and beverage.
March 25: Choral Evensong (Passion Sunday) at 4:30 p.m. at Christ Church (Anglican), Elbow Park 3602 — 8 St. S.W. 403-243-4680; free admission. April 6 to 8: Images of Spirituality; ecumenical women’s gathering at Entheos Retreat Centre. The theme is holy women inspired by God. Come and learn from the stories of holy women from the past and allow yourself to be encircled by God’s love, to pray, meditate and venture into art, writing, music, dreams and visions.
