BUILDERS IN BELMONT
Pre-sales now available
People in the market for a home in south Calgary can now turn to the builder group in Belmont.
The community, on land southeast of Silverado, bordered to the north by 194th Avenue and to the south by 210th Avenue, is by Anthem United, the same company that developed Nolan Hill and Sage Hill in the city’s northwest.
Pre-sales are open for homes in the community, including frontdrive garage single-family homes starting from the $480,000s, and both laned and single front-drive single-family homes starting from the $370,000s.
Currently in the community, Trico Homes, Shane Homes, Cedarglen Homes, and Homes by Avi are in the front-drive, singlefamily segment, while Jayman and Morrison are selling single frontdrive and laned product.
Homes by Avi also has a street town development starting in the $350,000s, that will start sales at a later date.
StreetSide Developments will also bring on townhomes in Phase 1 of the community, with pricing and sales to be announced at a later date.
Belmont is planned to build out to more than 2,000 homes.
“It’s a great location, situated near existing amenities of neighbouring communities and right next to a future recreation centre and LRT stop,” says Steve LePan, development manager for Anthem United.
Belmont is planned to eventually include a City of Calgary recreation facility and sit within 500 metres of a C-Train station.
“For those who have lived in the southwest for many years, it will provide an option for them to buy new without leaving their familiar part of the city,” LePan adds.
While a formal grand opening, including show homes from all builders, is on tap for April 28, Jayman has new show homes that are available to be toured now.
They’re located on Belmont Drive and include the Destiny 20 at 1,566 square feet and the Opus 20 at 1,620 square feet.
“They have open floor plans, both master bedrooms can fit a king-sized bed, and we have the option of building a (secondary) entrance to the basement,” says Tracy Negenman, area sales manager for Jayman in Belmont.
The secondary entrance is demonstrated with both show homes.
“It’s just handy,” Negenman says, adding it can be convenient for people for various living arrangements, such as families with teenage children or extended family with bedrooms in the basement.
Even before the show homes were unveiled, Negenman says she’s heard strong interest in Belmont.
“The landscape is beautiful,” she adds. “People are looking for a south location, we’ll have easy access to Macleod Trail — and just being close to Spruce Meadows and the amenities in Silverado.”
Shane Homes is slated to be the next builder with an on-site presence, opening its sales centre April 2.
