April 22: 7 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church; 1311 4 Street S.W. Core Celebration Choir Concert — a citywide worship gathering, featuring a rich musical program including choir, instrumentalists, singers and many local musicians from the professional and church communities within our city. Three guest musicians include Maury Michie, Victoria Erhardt and Kyle James Graae. Cost is a free will offering.

April 27 to 29: Grace Presbyterian Church welcomes the Rev. Dr. Jason Byassee — teacher, preacher, and author — to speak at the Preaching Grace weekend. The teacher of preaching at the Vancouver School of Theology, will be at Grace Presbyterian Church in Calgary (1009 – 15 Avenue S.W.) He’ll be speaking at the third-annual Preaching Grace weekend which includes a free public lecture on Friday evening (God in our Personal Space); a daylong retreat/ workshop on Saturday (How the Church Communicates in Life in Three Ways; workshop cost is $75); and, a 10:30 a.m. Sunday sermon.
