Sheryl Crow, Broken Social Scene round out Stampede stage list

Multi-Grammy winner Sheryl Crow leads the last list of bands and musicians announced for the Coca-Cola Stage during Stampede in July. The Stampede has released groups of artists over the past three days, saving the biggest names for last.

Crow is a nine-time Grammy winner with such songs as Everyday is a Winding Road, If it Makes You Happy, and Soak Up the Sun.

Along with Crow, more than 50 artists will put on free shows on the Coca-Cola Stage over the 10 days of Stampede, including Canadian indie band and Juno winner Broken Social Scene, and indie rock, reggae and ska band Walk Off The Earth.

“Our goal was to provide the ul- timate concert experience at the Coca-Cola Stage this year,” says Samara Lastiwka, programming production manager at the Calgary Stampede.

“This final announcement tops off our biggest and most diverse lineup to date, with some of the best pop, funk, R&B, rock, indie, country and alternative acts hitting the stage.”

Other musicians announced this morning are singer-songwriter Caitlyn Smith, indie rock band Yukon Blonde, and Calgary singer-songwriter Jocelyn Alice. Also playing on the stage at various times will be Mark Times, The Wine Soaked Preachers, Blake Berglund, Karac Hendriks, Mikaila Cooper and Tanya Ryan.

Other groups announced earlier this week include Lights, Our Lady Peace, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, Too Many Zooz, The Funk Hunters, The Rural Alberta Advantage, Elle King and Phantogram.
