Escaped prisoner still on the run

-

RCMP are searching for a prisoner who escaped from the Red Deer Remand Centre. Police were alerted to the incident about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. Four prisoners escaped from the facility; three have since been caught, according to an RCMP news release. The remaining fugitive is identified as Dallas Albert Rain, 28. Rain went to remand on June 6, for 30 days. His charges, out of Rocky Mountain House, include mischief, resisting a peace officer and failing to attend court. RCMP are advising the public not to approach the escaped prisoner and to call 911 or Red Deer City RCMP at 403-343-5575. In a statement, the Alberta Justice and Solicitor General said the department would launch an internal review to investigate the escape, to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
