STAMPEDE MUSIC PICK FOR JULY 11, STEVEN TYLER, COWBOYS TENT

Following the lead of fellow hardrocker Jon Bon Jovi, Steven Tyler decided to go country a few years back. The iconic, 70-year-old singer of Aerosmith released his first solo record in 2016, causing a bit of a stir thanks to its twangy leanings. Unlike Bon Jovi, Tyler’s attempts were met with some respectable reviews, with Entertainment Weekly calling We’re All Somebody From Somewhere “organic” and a “neat surprise.”

Presumably, Tyler will be in cowboy mode when playing the Cowboys Music Festival on Wednesday at 7 p.m. with his Loving Mary Band.
