October 28: 7 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 1311 - 5 Street S.W. Amazing Grace is possibly one of the most well known hymns of all time. But do you know the story of its composer, Anglican minister John Newton? Through drama and music with the Core Celebration Choir, we will feature the story of how a slave trader became transformed by the love of God (and his wife) to become a popular Anglican minister, author, hymn writer, mentor and an outspoken advocate against slavery. This drama, written and performed by Deanna Storfie of Acting Up! Drama will inspire and encourage your faith, while challenging you to engage with and influence your world for Christ.
