JUDE LAW HOOKS PETER PAN ROLE

-

Jude Law could soon make Neverland his new home, reports Variety.

The actor is in talks to play Captain Hook in a new Peter Pan film, following in the steps of Jason Isaacs, Garrett Hedlund and Dustin Hoffman, who all previously played the Disney villain.

Pete’s Dragon director David Lowery will helm Peter Pan & Wendy, while newcomers Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson have been cast as Peter and Wendy,

respectively. Disney’s 1953 animated version of the J.M. Barrie novel is still the most successful screen adaptation, while later versions such as Steven Spielberg ’s Hook (1991) starring Robin Williams and Joe Wright’s Pan (2015) disappointed at the box office.

Sources tell Variety the film is expected to be released theatrically instead of on the Disney+ streaming service.
