More money can’t solve everything

-

I find it interesting to listen to the NDP’S proposals for education during this pandemic. Just throw more money at the problem, even though we can’t afford it. In addition, where does the NDP think we will get all of these teachers to teach extra classes?

Cancel all optional courses such as music, art, choir, drama, foods, so students can still receive the core courses. This will free up enough teachers to allow reduced class sizes. You may need to find additional facilities but there should be nothing wrong with teaching math in the band room or gymnasium.

I know many students would be upset in missing out on their favourite courses, but this is a difficult time for everyone. Once the pandemic is over, then return to teaching those other courses.

My point is there have to be many solutions that do not involve financial recklessness; it only requires some innovation and thought.
