Daycare operator facing child porn charges

An Edmonton man who ran an unlicensed daycare operation has been charged with possession of child pornography.

The 25-year-old man is charged with one count of possession and one count of accessing child pornography after detectives completed an investigation in September.

Police don't believe the images involved children in his care, and did not release the name of the daycare.

Officers searched the man's home in southeast Edmonton Sept. 9 and confiscated a laptop “which investigators later confirmed contained child pornography,” Edmonton police said in a Tuesday news release.

Nicholas Baglole- Gaudet, 25, has been released with conditions, including not contacting any child under 16 except in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.
