Mama Mcconaughey a confidence booster

Matthew Mcconaughey always thought he'd won Little Mr. Texas at the age of eight. But the actor, 51, recently found a photo that showed he'd been runner-up. “My mother put that picture on the wall,” he explained. “Every day she'd say, `You are Little Mr. Texas.' (Mom explained her lie by saying) `The kid who won, his parents bought him a really expensive suit so we call that cheating.'” The actor wondered: “Would I have the life I have now if I grew up thinking I was runner-up?”
