The 2024 Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show lineup has been announced, with country band Hunter Brothers being named as the headliner.

The rising Canadian band has a Canadian Country Music Award, a Juno Award and more than 86 million streams and 33 million Youtube views to date.

“Growing up in Western Canada, the Stampede has always been such an iconic event for us. To have the opportunity to close out and headline the Grandstand Show is surreal for us,” said the Hunter Brothers. They are planning a “celebration to remember,” and promise the show will be “unforgettable.”

The Hunter Brothers will team up with The Young Canadians for a performance of the song Footloose, aiming for the biggest line dance in Western Canada.

Shows at the GMC Stadium will run from July 5 to 14 and feature music, dance, stunts and displays. Also set to perform are The Young Canadians, with special guest appearances by Tammy Firefly, The Urias Globe of Death Daredevils, Boston Dynamics and more.

Tammy Firefly is a fire and aerial performance artist who will be performing with the stage on fire. The Urias Globe of Death Daredevils take the audience along for the ride by placing cameras inside the globe for an immersive experience. There will also be dancing robots from Boston Dynamics, as well as other surprise special effects.

“You won't see a show like this anywhere else,” said Angela Benson, creative director and choreographer of the Grandstand Show. The made-in-calgary show will feature world-class stunts and performances.

“It has rock, grit, country and nostalgia that will challenge us all to live life in the fast lane. We can't wait to take audiences on a trip of dust and dazzle that you can only see at this year's Calgary Stampede.”
