Owner and architect Nick Han also received a BILDCR Award for this same project.

Alberta in general proved to be a great place to build a new neighbourhood, as the CHBA bestowed Canada’s Best Growing Community and Best New Community Awards upon Dream Unlimited for its Alpine Park development in southwest Calgary and Elan in Beaumont, south of Edmonton.

The capital region was well represented with Housing Excellence awards presented to Jayman, Urbanage Homes, Vicky’s Homes and Benjamin Matthew Contracting.

Two builders in southern Alberta represented Lethbridge well, with Stranville Living and CADO Developments taking home national awards.

“These awards truly demonstrate the variety of homes that are built and renovated in Canada each year,” said Kevin Lee, CEO of the CHBA. “Whether for rent or ownership, changing life circumstances or needs, the professionals that build and renovate Canadian homes and communities are creating spaces that people want to call home.

“We are proud of the accomplishments of this year’s winners and finalists.”

The CHBA’S national organization is the voice of the residential construction industry in Canada, representing some 8,500 member firms across the country.

Its membership spans new home builders, renovators, developers, trade contractors, building material manufacturers and suppliers, lenders, and other professionals in the housing sector.
