wrote “Dieppe.” He is a professor of modern and military history at Marianopolis College in Westmount, Montreal, and formerly served as a research/liaison officer and signals intelligence specialist for the Department of National Defence and as an infantry officer in the Royal Highland Regiment. His book One Day in August: The Untold Story Behind Canada’s Tragedy at Dieppe, was shortlisted for the RBC Taylor Prize.
