Chiselled features

The April-May 2017 issue has a photograph of the war memorial in Welland, Ontario. Who was the sculptor of this monument? We know the names of authors and painters, but only rarely are we aware of the names of the sculptors of the monuments we see throughout the country.

However, in this case we do know. The sculptor was Elizabeth Wyn Wood of Orillia, Ontario. Her works are part of the National Gallery of Canada collection.
