The active and outdoorsy in southwestern Ontario are familiar with the roads to the ski-resort town of Collingwood when they’re covered with the snow. The village at Blue Mountain is a bit quieter in September, no doubt, but it fills up with Spandex-clad endurance types when Centurion Blue Mountain comes around. The event has a racing vibe, giving the option to sign up for the Gran Centurion Stage Race, combining the 80-km ride on Saturday with the 40-km ride on Sunday. If the century on Saturday is enough for you, bring your family along for an organized fun ride on Friday and spend Sunday recovering and scoping out the vendors in the village.
