Vancouver might be bike-friendly, but on a normal day, the idea of riding out of the city to Whistler might seem daunting to many. The Granfondo Whistler takes thousands of riders onto a lane of the Sea-to-sky Highway for a scenic trip with 1,700 m of elevation gain. Ride 122 km as part of the gran fondo or race the route in giro race option for Cat. 1, 2 or 3 racers. If you’re strong, there’s a trip up Cypress Mountain in the 155-km “forte” distance.
