The Hail Advanced 0 is Liv’s premium long-travel offering. The 27.5" carbon bike has been designed to be capable of going from trail rides to the bike park and even enduro race courses. Riders get 160 mm of rear wheel travel from a Rockshox Deluxe rt3 rear shock, either 130- or 160-mm travel from the Rockshox Lyrik rct3 fork, Giant P-trx 0 carbon wheels and a sram X01 Eagle 1 x 12-speed drivetrain. Ghost Lanao FS3 $2,375

Ghost Bikes is a German brand that’s distribute­d exclusivel­y by mec in Canada, with the Lanao fs3 being the company’s midlevel 27.5" women’s-specific mountain bike. The aluminum frame offers 130 mm of front travel and 120 mm of rear wheel travel; suspension duties are handled by a Rockshox Recon fork up front and a X-fusion O2 RL rear shock. There’s also a respectabl­e mix of Shimano 2 x 10-speed components, m506 brakes, slx shifters and crankset, a Deore front derailleur and an XT rear derailleur. Trek’s women’s-specific models of the Fuel bring the bike within reach of almost every rider out there. The Fuel EX 8 model comes with 27.5" wheels for the 14" and 15.5" frames, and 29" wheels for the 17.5" and 18.5" frames. Component highlights on the aluminum-frame bike include the Fox Rhythm 34 Float fork and Fox Performanc­e Float evol rear shock, a Shimano XT 2 x 11-speed drivetrain with a Deore front derailleur, Deore brakes and a KS ethirty Integra dropper post.
