Since 2010, the rbc Granfondo Whistler has given cyclists the opportunity to ride along a closed lane of the Sea-to-sky Highway between Vancouver and Whistler, B.C. The 122-km gran fondo route leaves Stanley Park and finishes in Whistler Village. Other options for the day include a shorter trip in the 55-km medio fondo that has riders heading out of Squamish instead of Vancouver. For those looking for an added challenge, the 152-km forte option adds a trip up Cypress Mountain to the gran fondo route. All the routes finish with an uphill climb into Whistler, where everyone can reminisce over the beautiful scenery in the beer garden. With Red Truck Beer Company as the suds sponsor for the past three years, cyclists can enjoy a drink produced by a brewery that has cycling close to its core.
