Just to say you did it! But don’t run, or even walk on the black rocks, seriously.

Probably the best place to get lost and go for a longer, uninterrupted run in Halifax.

The Lower Deck i 1887 Upper Water St.

For a proper Maritime sociable complete with kitchen party music. A serious crowd with big, burly servers slinging trays of Keith’s.

The Seaport Market and the wharf j 1209 Marginal Rd.

Occasionally you can find free yoga (MEC hosts Mondays at 6 p.m. near the ‘Whale’s Tongue’ Wave sculpture.)

The Keith’s Brewery Tour k 1496 Lower Water St.

It’s so fun to step back in history. But make sure you get your run out of the way first.

Duncan’s Cove l halifaxtrails.ca/index_files/DuncansCove.htm

A great nearby hike or trail run for those who don’t have time to tour the province.

Bonus tourist activity m

Run over to Dartmouth and eat a lobster roll at Evan’s (2 Ochterloney St.). Then take the ferry back and take in the spectacular view of the city from the water. Or, take the Harbour Hopper tour.
