Ankle and hip stability become big players in this injury. If you’re weak through your hip stabilizer­s you are potentiall­y crossing the centre of your body as you run. If your ankles are weak your tibialis posterior is probably doing more then it should. As a side note, foot strength can also play a role, as the stronger the foot is the less the tibialis posterior has to do.
