The last couple of iterations saw Brooks tweak their design, ironing out some minor flaws. This fourth edition has the Transcend wonderfully dialled in. Brooks’s Super DNA midsole is immediately pleasant from the first wear. The tweaked guide rails also produce an overall smoother ride for such a generously soft shoe. Up top, the 3D-fit print upgrades the stretchy upper. And perhaps most importantly, Brooks fixed the Transcend’s heel counter, making for a much more stable experience from touch down to toe off.
