AHMED won OFSAA Cross-Country in 2007 and 2008, ran for the University of Wisconsin and set five Canadian records on the track. He won two silver medals at the 2018 Commonwealth
Games and bronze in the 5,000m at the World Track and Field Championships in 2019 (the first-ever world championships medal for a Canadian distance runner). Ahmed is one of Canada’s best hopes for a medal in Tokyo.
