Banff National Park

-

Banff is Canada’s oldest and busiest national park, with almost four million people visiting every year. From jagged peaks that straddle the Continental Divide, glacier-fed trickles lead to gushing waterfalls and raging rivers that eventually reach all three oceans. It’s home for abundant grizzlies, cougars and wolves, and even the Banff Springs snail, which lives only in the hot springs of Sulphur Mountain — where railway workers entered an unusually warm cavern in 1883, and this whole “park” thing got started.
