P.E.I. National Park

-

Canadian parks are often rugged and remote — an escape from comfortable civilization. In northern P.E.I., a gentler nature is celebrated: warm sunshine, glistening ocean surfs and silky-smooth sand dunes and beaches. There are plenty of land, sea and winged creatures around, including the endangered piping plover, but you’re most likely to see them while strolling on a boardwalk or picnicking by a historic lighthouse. Not pastoral enough for you? It’s also the setting of Anne of Green Gables.
