Jeffrey Aaron Erickson, 43, died from complicati­ons following ill health in Halifax on June 29, 2015.

Born in Willimanti­c, Connecticu­t, Jeffrey moved with his parents to Halifax in 1973. He grew up and lived in Halifax, where he attended Mount Saint Vincent University, with periodic visits to the United States, Cape Breton, and Alberta. Jeffrey was bright and fun-loving and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was especially fond of music, movies, and animals, which gave him great joy. He found speaking to school groups rewarding. All those who knew him will miss him profoundly.

Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Patricia Erickson and Paul Erickson, Halifax; stepmother, Dawn Erickson, Halifax; brother, David Erickson, Halifax; sister, Bethany Erickson Rodrigues, Wimbledon, England; aunts, Ann Graham, Shelbyvill­e, Kentucky, and Mary Bleakley, Mack- inaw City, Michigan; stepsister­s, Patricia Mitchell and Jacqueline Mitchell, Halifax; stepbrothe­r, Christophe­r Mitchell, Halifax; and cousins, Corinna Pannell, Simpsonvil­le, Kentucky, Hannah Davis, Louisville, Kentucky and James Pool, Ferndale, Michigan.

His family wishes to thank all those individual­s and organizati­ons who helped Jeffrey during his lifetime, with a special thanks to the residents and staff of Talbot House, Frenchvale.

There will be a funeral mass for Jeffrey on July 4, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 177 Frenchvale Rd., Frenchvale, presided over by Fr. Paul Abbass. The mass will be preceded by visitation and followed immediatel­y by interment. Cremation has taken place.

For those who wish to express condolence­s, Jeffrey’s parents invite you to a reception on July 6, from 2-4 p.m., at the home of Patricia Mitchell and Rene Gallant, 30 Lakefront Dr., Hammonds Plains.
