It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the death of Frank, who passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 27, 2015.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Agatha O’Brien and William Penny.
Frank is survived by his wife, Gail (Atchison) Penny, and children, Amber (Adam) Lyman; Kingston, Chad (Anna) Penny, Ottawa, and his grandchildren, the joy of his life, Avery, Chase and Madison. He is also survived by his sisters, Brenda MacKillop, Julie (Cal) Morstad, Calgary, Lynne (Wayne) Lines, Amherst; and brother, Paul (Valerie) O’Brien, Sydney; along with many nieces and nephews.
Frank worked in telecommunications for many years. He enjoyed NASCAR, camping, woodworking, and photography. He was a kind and compassionate man with a wonderful sense of humour. He was a true gentleman and will always be remembered for being an amazing husband, father and grandfather.
In keeping with Frank’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. There will be a celebration of life with family and friends, Kingston, Ont.

78, New Waterford
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Evelyn Fleming on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at the New Waterford Hospital.
Born in Cheticamp, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Aucoin) Muise. Evelyn was a longtime resident of Pellett Avenue, New Waterford.
Evelyn was a loyal and contributing member of the New Waterford Pensioners Club. She enjoyed her card games, club nights, dart league, fiddle music, watching her favourite sitcoms and drinking her tea. In her younger years, she travelled a lot with her daughter and grandchildren and loved to go shopping with them, it was her favourite pastime. Evelyn shared many stories and laughter with her family and friends. She was employed for many years at her brother’s store, Muise’s Diary on Plummer Avenue.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Fleming; daughter, Margie Legere (Rick); son, Jimmy (April); grandchildren, Troy, Keera, Austin, Aiden; great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Tyler, Jayce, Evan, Aleena, Everly; sister, Annie Mae (Raymond) MacKenzie, New Waterford; and her brother, Patrick, Ottawa.
Besides her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her two brothers, Bernie and David Muise.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Ray Huntley, will take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. Interment to follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy for Evelyn, donations in her memory may be made to the N.S. Diabetes Association.
