JENNEX, Catherine ‘Kay’ (Springall)

New Waterford

Catherine ‘Kay’ (Springall) Jennex, 68 passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at New Waterford Consolidated Hospital.

Born in New Waterford on June 27, 1947, she was the daughter of the late David and Muriel (Ferguson) Springall.

Kay is survived by her loving children, James and Debbie; grandchildren, Dawn Marie, Jessica and Justin; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Melissa, Brianna, Zachary and Nathan. Kay will be missed by her surviving siblings, Sandra ( Jim), Marion (Ervin) in New Waterford, Gary in New Glasgow; her former husband, Winston Jennex and her special friend, Wilfred ‘ Wick’ Berrigan.

Besides her parents, her loving brother, Dave, predeceased Kay.

A special thanks to the staff of Seaview Manor in Glace Bay and the staff of Maple Hill Manor in New Waterford. The kindness and compassion shown to Kay while she resided with you was appreciated greatly. Another big thank you to the staff at the New Waterford Hospital for the wonderful care shown to Kay and her family while she was a patient in your care.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 8th, at 12 p.m. (noon) in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith St., New Waterford with Rev. Duncan Roach officiating. The burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Scotchtown, with a reception to follow at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maple Hill Manor, New Waterford.
