It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Jerry MacMullin at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. He passed away peacefully on July 18, 2015, at the age of 69 surrounded by his loving family.

Jerry was born in Marion Bridge on Aug. 23, 1945, son of Anna (MacKeigan) and the late John MacMullin.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife and best friend of over 50 years, Sadie (Lively) Cibbs; children, Junior (Cheri), Connie (Shawn), Corrie ( Jim), Margie and Joe (Sarah); grandchildren, Patrick, Keshya, Brandon, Kristian, Alicia, Emily, William, Cailey and Liam; great-grandchildren, Noah and Sierra; sister, Irene ( John); brothers, Johnny (Lee) and Ronnie ( Julie); as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jerry worked for Municipal Ready Mix and the Department of Transportation for 41 years. Not one to ever sit still, Jerry loved the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, tinkering with cars or just puttering in his workshop. His quick wit, booming laugh and caring nature brought a smile to all he met.

The heart of Jerry’s life was his family. He eagerly anticipated all family gatherings, especially at Christmas and relished the simple and wonderful joy of his family being together. He brought a sparkle to the eyes of his grandchildren and shared his love, wisdom and support with his children.
