INVERNESS — Police are investigating the death of a man found in Inverness harbour. According to an RCMP news release, people walking along Beach No. 1 Road called police at about 4:30 p.m. on Friday after seeing an unresponsive man floating in the body of water also known as MacIsaac’s Pond. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 55-year- old man who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the man was from Lockport and had been temporarily living on a boat in the area. The cause of death is under investigation, although police say that the circumstances do not appear suspicious. On Sunday, an RCMP spokesperson said there was no update on their investigation, which is ongoing.
