Street work earns praise

I am writing to give a hearty thumbs up for the excellent work being carried out by Cape Breton Regional Municipality workers in Glace Bay.

A major project is underway replacing water lines, sewer lines and surface water catch basins, all in preparation for the street being made ready for new paving and curb and gutter replacement.

These heavy equipment operators, bulldozer operators, excava- tors, truck drivers, plummers, pipe fiters, surveyors, earth movers, managers, foremen and others are all professionals and are doing a fantastic job.

I have a ringside seat observing the progress being made and I can tell you it beats watching TV hands down.
