Deveaux wins Ironman in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Corey Deveaux of Sydney River captured the 2015 Lake Placid Ironman in Lake Placid, N.Y., on Sunday. Deveaux finished in a total time of nine hours, 31 minutes and nine seconds. He completed the swim in 58.58, the bike ride in 5:14.44 and the run in 3:09.38. He was competing in the 30-34 division. Allan MacKenzie of Sydney River placed 24th overall and seventh in the 30-34 division in a time of 10:10.19. He had a 1:04.14 swim, 5:30.33 bike ride and a 3:27.29 run. Chris Milburn finished 67th overall and 13th in the 45-49 age category. He finished in 10:39.01, with a 1:04.24 swim, 5:35.42 bike ride and a 3:47.24 run. Westmount’s John MacKinnon finished in 592nd overall and 50th in the 50-54 age bracket. His total time was 12:39.12, with a 1:15.58 swim, a 5:46.02 bike ride and a 5:25.30 run.
