De­veaux wins Iron­man in Lake Placid, N.Y.

Corey De­veaux of Syd­ney River cap­tured the 2015 Lake Placid Iron­man in Lake Placid, N.Y., on Sun­day. De­veaux fin­ished in a to­tal time of nine hours, 31 min­utes and nine sec­onds. He com­pleted the swim in 58.58, the bike ride in 5:14.44 and the run in 3:09.38. He was com­pet­ing in the 30-34 di­vi­sion. Allan MacKen­zie of Syd­ney River placed 24th over­all and sev­enth in the 30-34 di­vi­sion in a time of 10:10.19. He had a 1:04.14 swim, 5:30.33 bike ride and a 3:27.29 run. Chris Mil­burn fin­ished 67th over­all and 13th in the 45-49 age cat­e­gory. He fin­ished in 10:39.01, with a 1:04.24 swim, 5:35.42 bike ride and a 3:47.24 run. West­mount’s John MacKin­non fin­ished in 592nd over­all and 50th in the 50-54 age bracket. His to­tal time was 12:39.12, with a 1:15.58 swim, a 5:46.02 bike ride and a 5:25.30 run.
