GOLF: The Cape Breton Beverages Seaview Mens Club Championship, Aug. 1-2. Tee times starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday while Sunday will be a shotgun start for the majority of the field. Dinner following completion of play. Entry fee is $40 which can be paid at the pro shop. Closing date for entries is 6 p.m. on Thursday. SLOPITCH: The 19th annual Jason Simmons Memorial Co-ed Slopitch Tournament draw is Wednesday, 7 p.m., at the Caledonia Club. All 24 teams are asked to have a representative attend.
