South­side Boularderie We re­gret to an­nounce the pass­ing of Agnes Rita MacIn­tyre, 98, on Mon­day July, 27, 2015 at the North­side Com­mu­nity Guest Home, where she had been liv­ing for the last 11 months, sur­rounded by her lov­ing fam­ily.

Born in South­side Boularderie on Dec. 17, 1916, she was the daugh­ter of the late James and Christie (Steele) MacNeil. Agnes was a de­voted mem- ber of St. Joachim Church, and life­long res­i­dent of South­side Boularderie.

Agnes was a woman of very deep faith. She loved spend­ing time with her fam­ily. Some of her favourite pas­times were, gar­den­ing, lis­ten­ing to Celtic mu­sic and play­ing cards.

Agnes is sur­vived by her only son, Rod, and his wife, Char­lotte, who were also her care­givers for many years. Grand­chil­dren, Veron­ica (Robb) MacNeil; chil­dren, Ja­clyn, Jamee, Rob­byn; Hec­tor (Anita), chil­dren Daniel, Sarah, Bhreagh; Ma­rina (Brad) Wile, chil­dren Matt, Alaina, Jeremy; Carolyn (Vick) Fin­layson, chil­dren, Jack­son and Tay­lor; Roger (Kristin) their son, Rory. Along with her sis­ter, Lucy Muise and “spe­cial daugh­ter” Pen­nie Red­mile, Mon­treal.

Be­sides her par­ents, Agnes was pre­de­ceased by her lov­ing hus­band, Hec­tor, in 1971, along with six broth­ers and five sis­ters.

Vis­i­ta­tion for the late Agnes MacIn­tyre will be held in the JM Jobes Fu­neral Home, 635 Main St., Syd­ney Mines on Wed­nes­day, July 29, 2015, from 6-9 p.m. A cel­e­bra­tion of Agnes’ life will take place on Thurs­day at 3 p. m. in St. Joachim Church, South­side Boularderie with Fr. Peter McLeod of­fi­ci­at­ing. Burial in the parish ceme­tery, with re­cep­tion to fol­low in the South­side Boularderie Fire Hall.
