It is with deep­est sym­pa­thy we an­nounce the pass­ing of a dear hus­band, fa­ther and papa, David Carl Mil­ley, on Fri­day, July 24, 2015, at the Cape Bre­ton Re­gional Hos­pi­tal, Syd­ney, sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily.

Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Wil­liam and Emily (Snow) Mil­ley, he was the youngest of 16 chil­dren. He worked for Devco for many years un­til his re­tire­ment. He en­joyed his sum­mers with his grand­chil­dren at the bun­ga­low in Mira Gut.

David is sur­vived by his wife of 57 years, Beryl (Brewer) Mil­ley; daugh­ters, Bev­erly Smith and Estelle (Gary)Wad­man; sons, Sheldon, Wayne (Liz); grand­chil­dren, Terry (Christa), Shaun, Dawn (Kurt), Tif­fany, Ryan (Christin), Cory (Eileen), Kan­dace, Emily, Jesse, Phyl­lis (Bobby), Natasha (Wayne); 10 spe­cial great-grand­chil­dren, Emi­ley, Leah, Sarah, Olivia, Alexis, Kevin, Braden, Tory, Jamie and Bailee; brother, Ken; and sis­ter, Abe; as well as many nieces and neph­ews.

Be­sides his par­ents, he was pre­de­ceased by broth­ers, Fred, Frances, John, Wil­liam, Ab­solom, Hu­bert and Thomas in in­fancy; sis­ters, Mar­garet, Hazel, Naomi, Mary and Janet. Re­cently de- ceased by brother, Al.

Vis­i­ta­tion for David will be held on Wed­nes­day, July 29, 2015, from 1-3 p.m. at Pat­ten Fu­neral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, with fu­neral ser­vice to fol­low at 3 p.m. in Pat­ten Fu­neral Home Chapel with Rev. Ver­non Reid of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In lieu of flow­ers, do­na­tions in David’s mem­ory can be made to the Alzheimer So­ci­ety or to a char­ity of one’s choice.
