It is with deepest sympathy we announce the passing of a dear husband, father and papa, David Carl Milley, on Friday, July 24, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late William and Emily (Snow) Milley, he was the youngest of 16 children. He worked for Devco for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed his summers with his grandchildren at the bungalow in Mira Gut.

David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beryl (Brewer) Milley; daughters, Beverly Smith and Estelle (Gary)Wadman; sons, Sheldon, Wayne (Liz); grandchildren, Terry (Christa), Shaun, Dawn (Kurt), Tiffany, Ryan (Christin), Cory (Eileen), Kandace, Emily, Jesse, Phyllis (Bobby), Natasha (Wayne); 10 special great-grandchildren, Emiley, Leah, Sarah, Olivia, Alexis, Kevin, Braden, Tory, Jamie and Bailee; brother, Ken; and sister, Abe; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Fred, Frances, John, William, Absolom, Hubert and Thomas in infancy; sisters, Margaret, Hazel, Naomi, Mary and Janet. Recently de- ceased by brother, Al.

Visitation for David will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, from 1-3 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, with funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
