Suspicious fire in vacant building under investigation

GLACE BAY — A fire in a vacant structure on the Glace Bay wharf Friday morning, has been deemed suspicious and is under investigation by the Cape Breton Regional Police.

Police were called to the fire at about 2:40 a.m., where the Glace Bay Volunteer Fire Department was already on the scene.

The fire chief deemed the fire suspicious and the scene was secured.

The building was vacant at the time and no injuries were reported.
