Guests at the Holiday Inn Sydney owe their clean and tidy surroundin­gs to the hard work of Pat Almon and her staff of 20. Almon is a new addition to the staff at the facility having only signed on about four months ago. Born in Ontario, Almon was raised in a military family and knows a thing or two about travelling the world and what’s important when it comes to making a traveler feel comfortabl­e and secure. Almon returned to Cape Breton after her father retired to the Margaree area. She also couldn’t be happier living in Sydney close to her two children and two grandchild­ren.
