Deborah Marie Dicks, 60 of Westmount, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Mrs. Mary (McLean) Ford of Westmount and the late James E. Ford.

She was a member of Holy Rosary parish, Westmount, until sickness changed her life several years ago. Debbie was employed at Scotiabank in Sydney and had earned her Business Diploma at CBBC. First and foremost her children and grandkids were Debbie’s main focus and greatest joy in life.

She is survived by her daughter, Jana Dicks, Westmount; sons, Kyle (Christa), Sydney; Joel (Denise), Halifax; grandchildren, Sophie, Penelope and Grayson; sister, Mona Ford, Sydney and brother, Kevin (Marie) Ford, East Bay.

There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, at Holy Rosary Church with Rev. Doug Murphy officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery, Westmount.
