SYDNEY — Two Sydney area men have been assigned trial dates after being charged in connection with a series of break and enters. Dylan Riley MacDonald, 18, of Balls Creek is charged with 24 offences including 16 counts of breaching court orders, four counts of theft, two counts of possession of stolen property and single counts of break and enter and evading police. He entered pleas of not guilty Monday and was assigned a provincial court trial date of May 3. A co-accused in the case, James Martin Cameron, 21, of Union Street, is facing 11 charges including possession of stolen property, evading police and nine counts of breaching court orders. Martin was assigned a trial date of March 8. The two men along with two youths were charged with a total of 37 offences in connection with a series of break and enters across the Cape Breton Regional Municipali­ty earlier this year. The youths, a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, both from Sydney, continue to be before the court.
