Cape Breton Post - - IN MEMORIAM -

Francis passed away peacefully at his home in North Sydney with his loving son at his side on Monday, February 6, 2017, at the age of 68.

Francis is survived by his children, Paul (Caralee) and Céline (Tom); his four grandchildren, Suzanne, Mariette, Katherine and Lincoln; the mother of his children, Margaret Price; his siblings, André (Maisie), Jean-Marc (Linda), Leopold (Joanne), Bernard (Mary), Stella-Marie (Blair) and Roseline (Don). His nieces, nephew, grandnieces and grandnephew will miss Uncle Francis at the annual get-together.

Francis was predeceased by his parents, Roger and Mariette.

He will be remembered as a brilliant and reflective man, for his mischievous humour, his non-judgmental outlook of people and his legendary enthusiasm for golf. As the son of a mariner, his curiosity and love of travel took him to all corners of the world where his contributions in the fields of nuclear physics, electrical engineering and environmental sciences, along with memories of his friendship, work ethic and volunteerism, will be lasting.

The family will celebrate Francis’ life privately at a later date.

Condolences may be forwarded through celinem

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Sydney Historical Society.

Cremation has taken place as per his wishes.

May he rest in peace.
