Evangeline Etheltine (Corbett) Pasher passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Wellington Park Care Centre in Burlington, Ontario at the age of 78.

Vange was predeceased by her husband, Dave Pasher in 2005 and her infant son, Robert, in 1967.

Vange was born in Dominion, Cape Breton, daughter of Pius Corbett and Elizabeth Abigail MacKay.

She married Dave in 1956 and after having eight children, they embarked on the big move to Toronto. Vange enjoyed being part of the community, always out chatting with neighbours, no matter where she lived. Vange was an avid collector of pop tabs for wheelchairs, and prided herself in being able to donate the tabs in exchange for wheelchairs for her local school children. She loved family and often made the trek back to Cape Breton to see her sisters and brothers and cousins.

Vange was also predeceased by siblings, Lillian Usher (2012), Joyce Clarke (2011), Jimmy Corbett (1989), Frances Iline who died as an infant (1935), Robert Corbett (2004), Marion Braganza (2016), and Kenneth who also died as an infant (1955).

She will be sadly missed by surviving siblings, Florence Peach, Geraldine (Joe) Williams, Valerie (Jim) Calhoun, Muriel Corbett, Tommy Corbett, Collette (Dave Turner) Parsons, Greg (Mary Louise) Corbett, Frances Corbett, and Loretta (Kenny) Munroe. Also grieving are children, Alice Pasher, George (Laurie) Pasher, Cathy (Mike) Valenta, Pius Joseph Pasher, John (Darlene) Pasher, and Tom (Cheryl) Pasher, 11 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Vange will be cremated and her ashes will be brought home to Cape Breton for an August burial in Gabarus, where she will rest with her husband and infant son.
