RIGBY, Vin­cent Pa­trick

It is with heavy hearts and great sad­ness that we an­nounce the sud­den pass­ing of Vince Rigby on Fe­bru­ary 7th, 2017 at the age of 52.

Vince is sur­vived by his wife, San­dra (Camp­bell) and his proud, lov­ing son, Ja­cob Rigby (Mi­randa Cantwell). By his par­ents, Bernard and Carol Rigby of Scotch­town; one sis­ter, Obe­line MacPher­son (Clint) of New Water­ford.

Vince was pre­de­ceased by his both sets of grand­par­ents. His Fa­ther and Mother -in­law, Gwen and Peter Camp­bell, Syd­ney. Vince’s nieces, neph­ews, grand­nieces and grand­nephews, sis­ter-in-laws and brother-in-laws will miss Un­cle Vinny at any fam­ily get­to­geth­ers.

Vince was a Vet­eran of the Cana­dian Forces serv­ing over 20 years, in Canada, Cyprus, Ger­many, Croa­tia and Bos­nia. He was a Welder by trade which took him to numer­ous job sites in Canada and the US. Vince was a found­ing mem­ber of Mar­i­juana for Trauma, Veter­ans Help­ing Veter­ans, Syd­ney, a mem­ber of The UN Veter­ans Group and a coach­ing mem­ber of Foot­ball Cape Bre­ton.

Vince will be re­mem­bered as hav­ing a leg­endary en­thu­si­asm for his son Ja­cob, Vet­eran con­cerns, camp­ing, fish­ing, mo­tor­cy­cles, the New England Pa­tri­ots and his dog Brady. His cu­rios­ity and love of travel took him all over the world.

Visi­ta­tion for Mr. Rigby will be held Mon­day, Fe­bru­ary 13th be­tween 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A Mass will be held Fe­bru­ary 14, 2017, 10 a.m. at Holy Re­deemer Church of­fi­ci­ated by Fa­ther Paul Mur­phy.

A Celebration of Life Ser­vice at the Pier Le­gion di­rectly af­ter the Mass.

Fu­neral ar­range­ments are un­der the di­rec­tion of Syd­ney Memo­rial Chapel, Syd­ney.
