MACQUEEN, Mary Ann ‘Marion’

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Mary Ann ‘Marion’ MacQueen, 80 of Sydney.

Marion passed away in Moncton, NB while visiting family on February 8, 2017, surrounded by her family and holding the hand of her adoring husband Gordon.

Born in French Rd, NS, she was the daughter of the late Donald Archibald and Mary Ann (McIntyre) McLeod.

Marion was a member of St. Joseph’s parish and prior to that St. Theresa’s parish.

She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 57 years, Gordon Findlay; daughters, Carol Ann MacQueen, Mary Pyke, Linda MacPhee, Brenda (Paul) Chisholm, Janice (Wilfredo) Galvez; sisters, Dolores, Carmelita and Rose MacLeod; brothers, Peter (Eileen), Gerard (Peggy), Connie (Wilma), Jimmy (Sharon), Donnie (Marg); grandchild­ren, Sam & Scott Fahie, Justin (Kristen) and Matthew Pyke, Christine (Travis) Copp, Kayla, Jessica, Emily, Malcolm and Liam MacPhee, Joanne (Ryan) Moore, Paulina Chisholm and Maximo and Zacarias Galvez and greatgrand­children, Ryland and Elliot Copp.

She was predecease­d by sister, Annie Theresa and brothers, Jerome and Michael.

There will be no visitation for Mrs. MacQueen.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. Theresa’s Church with Rev. Alex MacLellan officiatin­g.

Interment in Resurrecti­on Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
