It is with bro­ken hearts we an­nounce the pass­ing of Mary Ann ‘Mar­ion’ Mac­Queen, 80 of Syd­ney.

Mar­ion passed away in Monc­ton, NB while vis­it­ing fam­ily on Fe­bru­ary 8, 2017, sur­rounded by her fam­ily and hold­ing the hand of her ador­ing hus­band Gor­don.

Born in French Rd, NS, she was the daugh­ter of the late Don­ald Archibald and Mary Ann (McIn­tyre) McLeod.

Mar­ion was a mem­ber of St. Joseph’s par­ish and prior to that St. Theresa’s par­ish.

She is sur­vived by her lov­ing, de­voted hus­band of 57 years, Gor­don Find­lay; daugh­ters, Carol Ann Mac­Queen, Mary Pyke, Linda MacPhee, Brenda (Paul) Chisholm, Jan­ice (Wil­fredo) Galvez; sis­ters, Dolores, Carmelita and Rose MacLeod; broth­ers, Peter (Eileen), Ger­ard (Peggy), Con­nie (Wilma), Jimmy (Sharon), Don­nie (Marg); grand­chil­dren, Sam & Scott Fahie, Justin (Kristen) and Matthew Pyke, Chris­tine (Travis) Copp, Kayla, Jes­sica, Emily, Mal­colm and Liam MacPhee, Joanne (Ryan) Moore, Paulina Chisholm and Maximo and Zacarias Galvez and great­grand­chil­dren, Ry­land and El­liot Copp.

She was pre­de­ceased by sis­ter, An­nie Theresa and broth­ers, Jerome and Michael.

There will be no visi­ta­tion for Mrs. Mac­Queen.

Fu­neral mass will be cel­e­brated at 11 a.m. on Mon­day, Fe­bru­ary 13, 2017 at St. Theresa’s Church with Rev. Alex Ma­cLel­lan of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In­ter­ment in Res­ur­rec­tion Ceme­tery, Syd­ney Forks.
