It is with bro­ken hearts that we an­nounce the pass­ing of our beloved daugh­ter, sis­ter, wife, mother, niece and friend April Pelletier, on February 9, 2017, at the Cape Bre­ton Re­gional Hos­pi­tal, af­ter a coura­geous bat­tle with can­cer.

Born in Hal­i­fax (1979), she is the daugh­ter of Colleen Con­nors and Ken (Leisa) Pelletier.

April had a smile that could light up a room. She al­ways put her fam­ily first. No mat­ter what was go­ing on she was al­ways there to sup­port her fam­ily and friends. She was proudly em­ployed as a Food Safety Team Leader at Clas­sic Fine Foods.

Be­sides her parents she will be lov­ingly missed by her hus­band, Ryan Dickie; chil­dren, Dustin Pelletier, Tay­lor and Em­mett Dickie, (all at home); brother, Bobby (Mal­lory) and sis­ter, Jenn Pelletier; grand­mother, Jeanette Con­nors; grand­fa­ther, Joe Pelletier; mother and fa­ther-in-law, Liz and Jimi Dickie; brother-in­law, Mark (Sheena) Dickie. She is also sur­vived by three nieces, Maizy Pelletier, Rhyan Hardy and Ae­h­dyn Dickie; sev­eral aunts, un­cles and cousins; spe­cial friends, Melissa Steven­son and Lind­say Smith.

April is pre­de­ceased by her grand­fa­ther, Mike Con­nors and grand­mother, Doreen Pelletier.

In leiu of flow­ers, do­na­tions in April’s mem­ory can be made to the Cape Bre­ton Can­cer Cen­ter, or the Pal­lia­tive Care Unit.

Vis­i­ta­tion for April will be held on Wed­nes­day, February 15, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. in the SW Chant & Son Fu­neral Home Chapel, 564 Alexan­dra St., Sydney, N.S. Fu­neral Ser­vice will be held the fol­low­ing day Thurs­day, February 16, at 11 a.m. in the fu­neral home chapel with Rev. Shel­don Chant Of­fi­ci­at­ing.
