ARSENAULT, Norma Phyllis

-

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, Phyllis Arsenault at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Born August 13, 1942 in North River, Cape Breton, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Josephine (MacKaskill) MacDonald.

Phyllis was a loving and devoted mother, sister and grandmother, who was the fabric binding the family to what we all come to know as it is today. Her greatest love was her family. She loved to cook and bake for others and never missed an opportunity to host family occasions. We will surely miss our Rummoli nights.

Phyllis is survived by son, David (Denise), Shad Bay; daughter, Susan (Paul) Spracklin, Oromocto; grandchildren, Kristopher and Brandon (Kayla) Spracklin, Kaleigh (Mitchell) and Matthew Arsenault; as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

She is also survived by sister, Rachael (Bill) Bennett, Sydney; brothers, Harry, Toronto, Gillis (Lucy), Regina, Ken (Mary), Beeton; half-brother, Freddie (Pearl) MacDonald; half-sisters, Dorothy Keigan and Laura Shaw; sister-in-laws, Sandra and Yvonne; best friends, Roslyn Shea and Anita Currie and special niece and blueberry buddy, Judy.

She was predeceased by her Husband, Basil ‘Bee’ Arsenault; sisters, Maisie, Anna and Wilma; brothers, Malcolm and Henry; sisterin-laws, Betty and Joan and brother-in-laws, Clarence, Wilfred and Sonny.
