We the family of John William Cook announce his passing on January 15, 2017 at The Three Lyn Center, Vancouver. Born in New Waterford on January 16, 1946, he was the son of the late Peter and Mary Elizabeth ‘Bessie’ (Dickson) Cook.

He is survived by his son, Peter; granddaughters, Katrina and Amanda, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; sisters, Catherine (Bernard) Landry, River Bourgeois, Ruth Gaudet, Sydney, Betty Anne (Murry) Kirkpatrick, Colburn, ON; brother, Patrick (Paddy), New Waterford, Peter (Aleta), Hammond Plains, Bernard (Bernie), Sydney, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by sisters, Alice, Edith and Margaret; brother, James (Jimmy), also in infancy his siblings, John, David, Sheila and Patricia; brothers-in-law, Austin Gaudet and John Willie Fraser; sister-in-law, Donna (Dupe) Cook and Patricia MacDonald, mother of his son, Peter.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Leo Penny officiating.
