Crown dismisses all charges

-

SYDNEY — Five criminal charges against a Scotchtown man have been dismissed.

Charles Michael Hogan, 51, of King Street, was scheduled to stand trial on two counts of assault with a weapon (a pick handle and mace) and single counts of assault, uttering a threat and mischief. The offences were alleged to have occurred last May in Scotchtown. However, prior to the start of a provincial court trial, the Crown served notice it was dismissing all counts as a result of some witnesses not co-operating while others were not available.
