Crown dis­misses all charges

SYD­NEY — Five crim­i­nal charges against a Scotch­town man have been dis­missed.

Charles Michael Ho­gan, 51, of King Street, was sched­uled to stand trial on two counts of as­sault with a weapon (a pick han­dle and mace) and sin­gle counts of as­sault, ut­ter­ing a threat and mis­chief. The of­fences were al­leged to have oc­curred last May in Scotch­town. How­ever, prior to the start of a pro­vin­cial court trial, the Crown served no­tice it was dis­miss­ing all counts as a re­sult of some wit­nesses not co-op­er­at­ing while oth­ers were not avail­able.
