Kris Tynski’s Raw Cape Breton

The eagle has landed

- SUBMITTED PHOTO/KRIS TYNSKI

This photo was taken Feb. 12 of this year. The moon has several phases during the run of a month, but a full moon is the most popular to photograph. With a location and a plan in mind, you can increase your odds of getting the shot. In this photo, I had the location in mind for an early morning setting of the moon and I have also seen seeing eagles there. This particular morning everything came together. So with a telephoto lens mounted to a tripod I carefully lined the subject with the centre of the moon. Here are the photo details: f7.1, 1/640s, ISO 320 at 600 mm.
